Windows 7: Resize Desktop icons
If you are like me you like smaller icons on the desktop of Windows 7. The following are simple instructions on how to resize the desktop icons.
1. Resize Desktop Icons using the mouse The simplest way is to minimise all your windows so only the desktop is visible. A quick way to do this is by using the Windows key and D. Then hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel until the icons are the size you want. If you are using a laptop and don't use a mouse then on the far left of your mouse pad you should see lines going from top to bottom. If configured to, and most areby default, this will act the same as a mouse wheel.
2. Resize Desktop Icons using Windows Personalize Right click on an empty spot on your desktop and choose Personalize, beneath the themes you have 4 options, from these 4 options select Window Color, and then click the link Advanced appearance settings.
You will get the Windows XP type dialog. Under Item choose Icon, Set the size to your liking. Range from 16-72, hit OK and then click Save Settings.
