Split Outlook Express Attachments
Outlook Express has the ability to split attachments into chunks. This can be both annoying, if it was setup without knowing, or useful. So why has Outlook Express been setup like this?
Some Service Providers have a maximum limit on the size of emails. So your email Service provider may only allow a maximum of 1mb and will reject everything above that.
Okay so where is the setting changed?
Open Outlook Express and click on "Tools" -> "Accounts"
![]() Select the "Mail" tab and highlight your email account and click "Properties"
![]() Select the "Advanced" tab
![]() If you need to break apart attachments then select the check box and set the size. You may want to set this to something larger like 1000KB.
Alternatively if you don't want Outlook Express to split attachments then unselect it.
